Senior Accountant

Summary

Join ZigZag as a Senior Accountant and contribute to the smooth operation of the finance team. You will create invoices for major clients, review revenue, create credit notes, assist with month-end reporting, support accounts receivable, update financial forecasts, optimize finance processes, and perform ad-hoc analysis. This role requires a suitably qualified Accountant with 3+ years of experience in a similar role, advanced Excel skills, strong interpersonal skills, and thorough accounting knowledge. The ideal candidate will have experience working with an Australian business and in the technology industry. The position is remote, working Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm.

• Thorough technical knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

• Must be a suitably qualified Accountant with strong current Technical Knowledge
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role
• Experience in the delivery of the core accounting functions and governance frameworks
• Candidates must be amenable to work remotely from Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm

Responsibilities

• Creating the invoices for some of our largest and most important customers
• Reviewing revenue, to ensure all work completed by our workers has been invoiced
• Creating credit notes when required
• Assisting with month end completion and reporting, including the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting the accounts receivable process by providing required information to account managers
• Updating financial and cash flow forecast models
• Maintaining and continuously optimising Sidekicker’s finance processes
• Ad hoc analysis and tasks as required by the Head of Finance
• Ensure effective communication within the business unit and with the rest of the business

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with an Australian Business
• Technology industry experiences a distinct advantage
