Requirements
- 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a startup or SaaS environment
- Proficiency in HGB, IFRS, and DATEV
- Fluency in German and strong English communication skills
- Proven experience in monthly closings, AP/AR, and process improvement
- Highly organized, detail-driven, and hands-on
Responsibilities
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring accuracy under HGB and IFRS
- Manage and control accounts payable and accounts receivable with a proactive, detail-oriented approach
- Perform bank reconciliations and support cash flow planning
- Ensure compliance with German tax regulations (VAT, corporate income tax, payroll)
- Prepare for audits and liaise with tax authorities and external auditors
- Streamline accounting processes using DATEV and ERP systems
