Summary

Join SmithRx's finance team as a Senior Accounting Manager to build and develop our Accounts Receivable function, evolving cash application and collection processes with automation, leading AR aging and DSO goals, and managing relationships with customers and partners.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of combined Public and Private company experience in revenue and AR operations
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of ASC 606
  • Possesses strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to articulate complex subject matter to senior leaders and non-technical stakeholders
  • High attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Proficient with key financial tools and ERP systems (Sage Intacct preferred) as well as Microsoft Office (Excel)
  • Licensed CPA, or CPA licensure in progress

Responsibilities

  • Evolve and mature cash application and collection processes with automation
  • Establish AR aging and DSO goals and track progress
  • Lead the maintenance and reconciliation of the AR and revenue cycle accounts, financial statement review, and reporting on a monthly basis along with other month-end close activities
  • Prepare analysis of financial and operational metrics, U.S. GAAP reporting, management reporting, and other compliance reporting
  • Manage relationships with customers and partners while addressing customer billing issues and questions
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on revenue recognition and related accounting policies under ASC 606, providing business support on their interpretation and application
  • Research accounting issues, perform technical accounting analyses, and implement new accounting guidance
  • Assist with the annual financial statement audit as well as tax and regulatory filings as needed
  • Lead strategic financial projects including implementation of new accounting systems and tools
  • Identify, develop, and implement procedural and system changes to increase accuracy, efficiency and controls
