Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business / Maths / Statistics or a related quantitative field
- 2+ years experience working in a data analytics position, preferably in a digital marketing environment
- Ability to turn complex data into compelling storytelling and actionable recommendations
- Expertise in interrogating data using SQL and writing custom SQL queries, and understanding of database structures
- Understanding of statistical analysis techniques used for experimental design such as regression analysis, hypothesis testing, multivariate analysis and time series analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present findings, explain complex concepts and influence stakeholder decisions making
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Has a genuine passion for learning and self-improvement, continuously seeking out new opportunities to expand knowledge and skills
Responsibilities
- Produce original analyses to identify and explore opportunities to optimize our search engine marketing (SEM) bidding strategies towards maximizing revenue
- Seek out and implement improvements to our existing automated paid marketing systems
- Plan and execute measurement tests and experiments to evaluate the impact of different bidding strategies and apply findings to improve performance
- Apply analytical techniques to measure the true return of our SEM spend
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Marketing and Data Science/Machine Learning to align on strategies, share insights, and ensure objectives are met
- Check on marketing performance daily and regularly report outward to the wider team and upward to the leadership team about trends, wins, and future plans
- Stay informed and proactively implement emerging ad technologies, best practices in media systems management and bidding optimization, process improvements and automation to enhance performance
