Summary

The job is for a Senior Creative Executive at IllumiNative Entertainment, an independent production company. The position is full-time, exempt, and based in Los Angeles or remotely.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in content creation in both film and television across a range of budgets and genres
• Strong executive experience, including previously managing a team of employees
• Extensive built-in relationships with talent, agents, and managers
• History of successful sales of both films and television series
• Deep knowledge, understanding, and experience in story development
• Successful track record overseeing movies and television series in production

Responsibilities

• Providing input on creative strategy that informs the business direction of a company
• Sourcing and supervising a development slate, as well as evaluating and executing on outside project equity investment opportunities
• Successful pitching and selling of both features and television series
• Supervising assigned features and television series through production
• Managing a team of employees
• Building and managing a development slate from the ground up
• Working with the company leadership to formulate a creative vision and strategy to convey to the industry
• Pitching and selling projects to a variety of buyers including networks, streamers, independent financers, and studios
• Overseeing projects in production from greenlight through delivery and release
• Managing and maintaining relationships with topflight directors, writers, and producers
• Establishing and nurturing up and coming Native American talent and executives
• Fostering and cultivating a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and industry excellence

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong creative executive presence that promotes a collaborative environment
• An understanding of business models across streaming, television, and film and how they relate to the creative of any project
• Leadership ability with strong interpersonal skills
• Strong written communication skills, including running creative working sessions, and articulating and defending creative decisions
