Summary

Join Ditto, a fast-growing startup, as a Senior Customer Engineer to support our Federal clients in integrating our groundbreaking edge sync platform. You will enable customers, provide technical support, and drive platform adoption. This role requires strong communication skills and 5+ years of experience as a field engineer or similar role, proficiency in various programming languages, and familiarity with networking and cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with diverse teams and travel occasionally for customer meetings and workshops. Requirements

  • Genuine desire to help people succeed with applying the technology to mission problems
  • 5+ years of experience as a field engineer, customer success engineer, solutions engineer, software engineering consultant, or similar in one or more of the following languages: Swift, Kotlin, JavaScript, C#/.NET, Rust, Java
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are critical as you will be working with developers from very diverse backgrounds, as well as with a highly technical engineering team
  • Read and understand stack traces, logging and monitoring tools
  • Write simple reproduction scripts and test cases, infrastructure-as-code, and documentation

Responsibilities

  • Help customers and partners get started using Ditto by supporting them with how-to assets, presentations, and whiteboarding sessions on video calls or in person
  • Answer questions, triage complex technical issues, troubleshoot/debug on customers' environments, collaborate with engineering, and get issues resolved
  • Develop new use cases on Ditto and drive adoption of the Ditto platform
  • Be the expert on best practices for developing mobile applications using Ditto at scale
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups - backend, frontend, dev ops, design, product, sales, and marketing to create a first-class experience for developers
  • Travel occasionally to meet customers in person and run workshops about developing applications with Ditto (once a quarter)
  • Travel occasionally to support customer and partner integration and exercise events

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience contributing to open-source projects
  • Working knowledge of distributed systems, radio networks, and defense systems
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
