Requirements

• 10 + years of progressive professional experience in developing and production release of safety critical complex systems and components
• 6+ years software development experience; track record in managing all phases of software development
• 6+ years leading high performance engineering teams and steering via metrics
• Experience with Functional Safety, Safety of Intended Function and Product Security
• Experience with metric design and data driven development
• Experience with safety case construction and management
• Experience with software centric systems/IDEs and software development lifecycles
• Strong leadership skills to manage and grow a diverse dynamic engineering team through both formal processes and hands-on management
• Experienced communicator with the ability to influence and motivate others to implement and maintain a culture of continuous improvement while working with people at all levels
• Entrepreneurial drive with a demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a fast-paced innovative environment and to deliver products through excellent team management and project management abilities

Responsibilities

• Develop, grow and coach the Product Safety and Release organization
• Drive the safety strategy at Torc and integrate safety into the Product Roadmap, to achieve short and long-term business goals
• Make sure that the development is in line with our release argumentation
• Chair a cross functional leadership team to evaluate and make decisions on reasonable risk
