Join 1Password as a Senior Director of Business Development and lead the global expansion of our business development teams. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will be a hands-on leader, building and mentoring high-performing teams, driving measurable results, and shaping the future of our business development efforts. This remote opportunity (Canada/US) requires 8+ years of experience leading business development or sales teams, including 5+ years managing second-line leaders, and expertise in cybersecurity or SaaS. Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in leading business development or sales teams, including at least 5 years managing second-line leaders
- Expertise in the cybersecurity or SaaS space, with a deep understanding of industry dynamics and challenges
- Demonstrated success in designing and scaling outbound programs targeting high-value industries and geographies
- Proven track record of building and implementing scalable playbooks, processes, and cadences that drive results
- Strong ability to translate data into actionable insights and impactful presentations that inform strategy and decision-making
- Proficiency with sales engagement tools such as Outreach.io, Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and 6Sense, with experience evaluating and implementing new tools to support team goals
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a passion for fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment that aligns with our core values
Responsibilities
- Develop and scale outbound and inbound programs targeting SMB, Commercial, and Enterprise prospects, leveraging data-driven strategies and best practices to generate high-quality pipeline
- Oversee inbound lead qualification processes, ensuring timely and effective engagement to maximize conversion rates
- Partner with Marketing to refine account-based marketing (ABM) strategies and collaborate with Product teams to position our offerings effectively to meet market demands
- Utilize analytics to monitor performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous enhancements in productivity and effectiveness
- Enhance team efficiency by implementing scalable processes and adopting cutting-edge tools such as Salesforce, 6Sense, Outreach.io, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Demonstrate a passion for fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment that reflects our company values, driving the collective success of the business development department
