Summary

Join the National Safety Council as a Senior Director, Channel & Partnerships to lead the strategy, development, and management of key partnerships and channel relationships. You will be responsible for driving company growth by identifying, negotiating, and implementing partnerships, managing existing relationships, and collaborating with sales, marketing, and product teams. This role requires strategic leadership in developing and executing a comprehensive channel and partnership strategy, building and nurturing strong relationships with partners, and refining and implementing a channel program. You will also lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. The position involves close collaboration with internal teams to ensure alignment with overall company goals and requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 10+ years of experience in channel sales or partnerships (5+ years in leadership), and strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. This is a remote position with a salary of $175,000.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in channel sales, business development, or partnerships, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of building and managing strategic partnerships that drive revenue growth
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and an ability to translate company goals into partnership strategies
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a growth-focused company

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and lead the execution of a comprehensive channel and partnership strategy that drives revenue growth and market expansion
  • Identify new strategic partnership opportunities that align with the company’s long-term business goals
  • Oversee key partner negotiations and support structuring agreements to ensure mutually beneficial terms
  • Ensure alignment between channel and partnership initiatives and the broader company strategy
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing partners, ensuring ongoing collaboration and success
  • Manage the lifecycle of partnerships, from initial engagement to scaling and ongoing management
  • Develop and implement processes to track, analyze, and optimize partner performance
  • Ensure that partners have the tools and resources needed to be successful in promoting the company’s products and services
  • Ensure due diligence is taken in establishing partnerships so that related stakeholders are engaged and consulted, and the corporate communications team supports the partnership as positive for the NSC brand
  • Refine and implement a channel program that includes resellers, distributors, and other strategic alliances
  • Recruit and onboard new channel partners to increase market penetration
  • Develop training and enablement programs for channel partners to maximize their effectiveness
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support channel partners with co-marketing initiatives and joint sales efforts
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing channel and partnerships team
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the team
  • Set clear performance metrics and manage the team to achieve key objectives
  • Work closely with internal teams (sales, marketing, product, operations) to ensure channel and partnership strategies align with overall company goals
  • Provide input and recommendations on product development and go-to-market strategies based on partner and channel feedback
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, and other departments to ensure compliance and financial soundness of partnership agreements

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge and experience working for a mission-focused organization, such as a not-for-profit organization, is beneficial
