Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a similar field
- Extensive experience working in a global accounting environment, overseeing multiple entities across different regions, with a strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
- Solid understanding of US GAAP, with familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Strong grasp of revenue recognition principles, especially in the tech sector
- Good command of English, at an upper-intermediate level at least
- Proactive approach, with a knack for leading initiatives that improve controls and streamline accounting systems
- Great attention to detail, with strong organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, general ledger reconciliations, and journal entries
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, adhering to US GAAP standards (knowledge of IFRS is a plus)
- Lead the monitoring and oversight of internal control processes and coordinate financial audits with external auditors
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity requirements to ensure financial stability and growth
- Manage corporate income tax and sales tax compliance to ensure the accurate and timely completion of all tax returns
- Assist with accounting due diligence processes for M&A activities and funding rounds, as applicable
- Provide mentorship, and guidance to a dynamic accounting team and oversee the full-cycle accounting process
- Ensure that technology systems utilized for financial reporting are appropriate and leverage new technology to streamline internal processes
- Assess current accounting operations, offer recommendations for enhancement, and implement new processes to optimize efficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- A Masterβs degree, CPA license, CMA, or ACCA certification
- Skills in cash management, tax planning, and audit supervision
- Hands-on experience with integrated ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365: Business Central
- Knowledge of international financial regulations, sales tax laws, and compliance practices
