Remote Senior Finance Manager

Summary

Join our team as a Finance Manager / Senior Finance Manager to lead the financial team in Malta, reporting directly to the Director of Eqvilent Malta with a functional reporting to the group CFO.

Requirements

• 6+ years’ experience working as a finance associate
• Extensive knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS and Maltese local requirements)
• Understanding of the MFSA and MIFID compliance, cross border transactions, transfer pricing regulations, conducting statutory audits and Stock Exchange related compliances
• Good exposure to managing direct and indirect taxation and the expertise results in accurate financial reporting and efficient account management
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Great analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Superb organizational and time-management skills

Responsibilities

• Preparation of financial regulatory reports for the MFSA under MIFID regulation
• Preparation, monitoring, and analysis of monthly operating results
• Assistance with budgeting/forecasting and tracking actual results to budget
• Preparation of presentations for management on financial results and key performance metrics
• Ensuring regulatory capital requirements are met
• Managing the preparation and/or supervision of the annual audited financial statements
• Acting as primary liaison with auditors on financial audits
• Assistance with the preparation of corporate tax returns and monthly tax filings
• Providing assistance with employee payroll administration
