Join Dr. Squatch as a Sr. Business Development Manager - Retail and drive our new retail channel sales strategy across the US. This role involves managing business development activities in retail and wholesale, executing long-term strategies within brick & mortar retail, and collaborating with various internal teams. The ideal candidate will possess 10+ years of experience in retail CPG, preferably with experience in alternate personal care channels. This full-time role offers company benefits and remote work options, with a preference for candidates near Marina del Rey, CA. The anticipated base compensation range is $130,000 to $160,000. Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in retail CPG, preferably working in Alternate Channels as described above
- Excellent communication skills—both internally and externally
- Experience in strategic planning for growth and expansion of new channels and how that should inform key company decisions
- Experience managing multiple retailers, internal stakeholders, and third-party services with strong attention to detail, a high level of organization, and excellent follow-through
- Experience with wholesale channel and independent customers
- Able to think at an enterprise level, while managing at the customer level
- Serve as the voice of the customer to internal stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on building and executing a new strategic channel retail go-to-market model for Dr. Squatch, working closely with internal stakeholders to develop short and long-term strategies by account and by market
- Develop and grow relationships across key decision-makers at key retailers to grow Dr. Squatch’s presence as an omnichannel brand in new strategic channels
- Collaborate with the Head of Retail to build and execute our new channel retail roadmap, launches, execution, market share growth & household penetration
- Drive progress in collaboration with our marketing team to create visually stunning, best-in-class merchandising destinations for Dr. Squatch on shelf
- Develop and own strategy for trade promotions & customer spending by account in new channels
- Manage Wholesale Channel and fold it into new channel strategy
- Collaborate with internal Dr. Squatch product, operations, and marketing teams to facilitate retail initiatives
- Manage collateral & assets the sales organization needs for successful outreach, such as 1-pagers & sales presentations
- Build and execute business plans for assigned customers that support Dr. Squatch’s fast-growing business
- Manage Customer P&Ls to achieve both Net Revenue and Customer Contribution objectives
- Inform the customer forecast per the business plans established for each customer
- Holistically manage any third-party services necessary to support the business with assigned retail customers. This includes identifying a necessity for the resource, defining the scope of work, and managing the RFP/bid process
- Work directly with the International team at Dr. Squatch to collaborate with and support all strategy decisions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing large retail accounts with both brick & mortar and eCommerce outlets
- Interest in health and wellness, personal care, and/or eCommerce industries
- Experience working in consumer products industry
