Requirements

  • Typically 10 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience in sales and/or business development, with a track record of exceeding sales targets and driving business growth
  • 3 or more years of experience leading and managing high performing sales and business development teams
  • Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales enablement platforms
  • Understands sales management including compensation plans, quotas, and coaching
  • Strong management and leadership skills and ability to attract, retain, motivate, develop and mentor team members for high performance

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing sales and business development team, fostering a culture of accountability and success
  • Evaluate the performance of business development initiatives and ensure objectives are met and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Identify high-value opportunities and lead initiatives to achieve significant revenue growth
  • Oversee the sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring exceptional client experiences
  • Create and oversee the execution of sales forecasts and targets, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
  • Provide detailed reports and strategic insights to senior management, highlighting areas of improvement and success
  • Drive sales initiatives for key accounts, focusing on high-value deals and long-term contracts
  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, including emerging markets, products, and partnerships
  • Introduce innovative strategies and tools to enhance sales efficiency and business outcomes
  • Build and maintain relationships with C-suite executives, stakeholders, and industry partners to foster collaboration and secure new business
  • Partner with marketing and demand generation teams to create campaigns that resonate with target markets and drive closed won bookings
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and retention of top talent in the business development function
  • Prepare and deliver detailed reports on sales achievements, pipeline updates, and growth initiatives to senior leadership
  • Continuously assess and refine strategies based on data-driven insights
  • Work with Business Operations team to improve sales process and reporting
  • Manage CRM compliance
