Join Felix, a leading digital healthcare company, as their Communications Manager! Reporting to the Head of Brand Marketing, you will spearhead the earned media strategy, driving brand growth and solidifying Felix's position in the Canadian market. You will develop and execute comprehensive earned media programs, manage influencer relations, and handle internal communications. Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years experience in public relations gained in startups, scale-ups, agencies in the health sector, or technology-driven organizations with digitally DTC based operations
- Experience with the Healthcare industry in Canada
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.) and how they intersect with traditional media
- Excellent relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
- Strong news and strategy judgment and ability to execute quickly
- Self-motivated, fast learner, and strategic thinker; able to achieve high impact in a fast-paced or ambiguous environment
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and manage earned media programs that create exciting news in consumer and industry press. These programs will support marketing campaigns, category launches, events, calendar opportunities, influencer engagement and issues management
- Understand the healthcare landscape in Canada and leverage audience trends to tell stories on behalf of Felix that drive brand awareness and positive association
- Be accountable for the success of all communications, influencers & PR programs through planning, prioritizing, and executing on multiple projects at once
- Uncover compelling brand & product narratives that elevate the brand by mining for data and insights working in strong collaboration with cross-functional teams (Product, Medical, CX, Operations)
- Partner with brand, performance, and creative teams to craft earned media strategies that enhance integrated marketing efforts
- Beyond consumer-first narratives, develop and implement issues management strategies to minimize and manage risks to Felix, including risk assessment, media evaluation and standing up crisis teams as needed
- Work with reporters proactively and reactively to be their go to person for addressing any communication inquiries or issues
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with media to generate impactful coverage
- Collaborate with external influencers to produce engaging content that amplifies Felixโs brand positioning
- Foster strong cross functional relationships with partners, influencers, media and industry
- Take a lead role in internal communications while working closely with the HR team (e.g. all hands, company events, etc)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing or a related field
- Experience in crisis management and internal communications
