Summary

Requirements

  • 7+ years in event marketing or demand generation, ideally within B2B software or SaaS
  • Proven track record of building and scaling event programs that deliver measurable pipeline and revenue impact
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing, mentoring, and growing high-performing teams
  • Expertise in event operations, resource prioritization, and process creation
  • Data-driven mindset with experience setting KPIs, analyzing performance, and optimizing event ROI
  • Ability to navigate a matrixed organization, influence stakeholders, and advocate for resources
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience owning major tradeshows or flagship events end-to-end

Responsibilities

  • Own Toast’s flagship events and tradeshow strategy— develop the plan and help the team support marketing business goals, driving measurable pipeline, revenue impact, and brand visibility
  • Lead our biggest annual tradeshow strategy and execution - highly visible leadership
  • Develop and scale a repeatable event framework, creating clear processes, documentation, and playbooks to increase efficiency and performance
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing events team, fostering accountability and collaboration
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and cross-functional stakeholders to align event strategy with business goals and secure the resources needed for success
  • Manage event budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and maximize ROI
  • Leverage data and insights to track event performance, optimize campaigns, and report results to senior leadership
  • Continuously test and innovate event formats to engage our target audience and stand out in a crowded market
