Requirements
- Proven success in fundraising
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for managing multiple projects at once
- Proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM systems for reviewing gift reports and maintaining records
- Experience in donor stewardship and grassroots fundraising strategy
- Ability to handle sensitive donor information with discretion and professionalism
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with donors
- Minimum of at least four years of fundraising-related experience
Responsibilities
- Oversee a portfolio of 250+ donors giving between $5,000 - $25,000 annually to Hillel International’s annual grassroots campaign
- Ensure that this group of donors is being regularly communicated with through digital and direct mail, as well as through individual follow-ups at key times throughout the year
- Work in partnership with the Senior Director of Advancement and Philanthropic Services to make real-time, data-driven decisions for this group of donors
- Fulfill all research requests, including research on current donors and general prospect research as needed
- Own relationships with key partners for each donor research platform used by Hillel International
- Be the in-house expert in each donor research tool
- Take the lead on developing event briefing documents and books to be used by leadership for each key event throughout the year
- Develop and implement strategies around donor prospecting and wealth capacity screenings that further the organization’s advancement goals
- Manage the donor acknowledgment strategy for new and existing donors, including developing acknowledgement content and language, as well as assigning thank-you call tasks
- Work with the Donor Relations Associate to ensure that all acknowledgment letters are sent to the correct constituents in a timely manner
- Oversee the thank-you call process, ensuring calls are being completed and additional stewardship is being provided
- Take the lead on project management of stewardship mailings, including holiday cards and special gifts
- Review daily gift reports in Salesforce regularly to identify any new or increased gifts that require inserting donors into designated stewardship processes
