Summary

The job is for a Senior Network Support Specialist who will provide advanced support and troubleshoot network issues, collaborate with engineers to design and implement solutions, and manage network security. The position is on a 12-month contract basis and offers 75% remote work.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network support and troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching
• Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools
• Proficiency in firewall configuration and security management
• Knowledge of network authentication and access control systems
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced support and troubleshooting for network-related incidents and problems
• Collaborate with network engineers to design and implement network solutions
• Monitor network performance and identify potential issues or areas for improvement
• Implement network changes and enhancements in accordance with established procedures and best practices
• Manage network security by implementing and maintaining appropriate firewalls and security measures
• Participate in network audits and compliance assessments
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in network support and troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications in networking (e.g. Cisco CCNA, CCNP)
