Summary
Join Zensurance's growing British Columbia New Business Team as a driven Senior New Business Broker! This role focuses on converting inbound leads into clients, requiring excellent sales skills and commercial insurance knowledge. You will evaluate client needs, recommend coverages, and provide support throughout the sales process. Success in this high-volume position demands strong time management, communication, and organizational skills. The position offers a competitive salary plus a variable bonus and operates within Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours.
Requirements
- BC Level 2 or 3 license (RIBO licensed as well would be an asset)
- 3+ years of commercial broking experience
- Ability to handle a large volume of inbound leads with the drive to convert them to clients
- Able to communicate complicated concepts and break them down into simpler terms
- Passion for sales and client experience
- Persistence and agility to meet set targets
- Attention to detail and demonstrated flexibility in managing multiple clients at a time
- Strong organization and prioritization skills
Responsibilities
- Continually engage leads provided to you by Zensurance to convert requests for insurance into customers
- Evaluate the needs of prospective clients to make recommendations on coverages
- Provide continuous support from quote to sale to ensure a seamless client experience within set timelines
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of our insurance products and educate clients on their policy coverages and needs
- Recommend operational changes to our processes to support further improvement of the overall customer experience
- Connect with external stakeholders (underwriters, insurance companies)
- Work as part of the team to achieve shared goals
- Provide weekly flow updates to enhance programs and pricing
- Other duties as assigned
