Senior Operational Risk Analyst

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a 1st/2nd line role in financial services with a focus on Operational Risk
• Strong relationship building skills
• Strong written and verbal skills & confidence and experience of Microsoft Office tools
• Understanding of Risk Management assessment methodologies and frameworks
• Knowledge or experience of Operational Risk capital requirement calculations or modelling
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, ability to liaise across risk, compliance, and IT teams

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, support, review and constructive challenge as required for the process of identification, assessment, and documentation of operational risks across key business areas, including payments, customer service, technology, and compliance
• Analyse internal processes to detect potential weaknesses or vulnerabilities and drive improvements of areas identified
• Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing to evaluate the organisation's preparedness for operational disruptions and capital assessment
• Prepare and deliver detailed risk reports on an regular and ad-hoc basis for senior leadership, risk committees, and regulatory bodies, highlighting risk trends, control effectiveness, and areas requiring attention
• Maintain the risk register, ensuring it is comprehensive, up-to-date, and aligned with the organisation's risk framework
• Support regular reviews of the operational risk management framework, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
• Support the implementation and maintenance of the governance framework to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies
