Join Careem, a leading app in the Middle East, as a Senior Operations Manager - 1P and manage the day-to-day activities and performance KPIs of our 1P fleet. You will oversee fleet management, ensuring efficient operations and compliance. Responsibilities include P&L management, performance monitoring, compliance adherence, team leadership, reporting, and problem resolution. This role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 5-7 years of relevant experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in fleet management software. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Fleet Management, or a related field
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Proven experience in fleet management, logistics, or a related role, with at least 5-7 years of experience
  • Strong understanding of fleet operations, fleet maintenance, and industry regulations
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations related to fleet management ensuring that the fleet is operating efficiently and in compliance with company policies and industry regulations
  • Monitoring revenues, costs, and expenses to ensure alignment with financial targets, analyzing financial trends, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align financial objectives and drive efficient goal achievement
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fleet performance and fleet captains
  • Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency
  • Ensure that all fleet operations adhere to relevant safety, legal, and environmental regulations
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes
  • Supervise and mentor a team of fleet coordinators or assistants
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional development
  • Prepare and present regular reports on fleet performance, and budget status to senior management
  • Highlight achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvements
  • Address and resolve any issues related to fleet operations or captain relations in a timely and effective manner
  • Implement corrective actions as necessary
