Summary

Join Grammarly's People team as a Senior People Business Partner to support the G&A function, collaborating with managers and leaders to provide people-related programs and solutions.

Requirements

  • Brings 10+ years of experience as a People Partner (HR Business Partner) and related roles; ideally has experience in high-growth pre-IPO tech and operating in companies and teams with global footprints
  • Demonstrates excellent judgment in guiding leaders and managers through difficult decisions, balancing the needs of the company and team members
  • Applies business acumen and data fluency to advance people-related strategies and programs
  • Is an effective partner and coach to managers and leaders; delivers feedback and challenging information in a way that builds trust and collaboration
  • Diagnoses talent issues and partners with managers and leaders to implement effective responses
  • Knows firsthand the challenges of a growth stage company and supports managers and leaders in effective communication and change management for their teams
  • Is a clear, empathetic, and effective communicator who understands differences in others and adjusts their approach accordingly

  • Is able to collaborate in person at our San Francisco hub as needed, including during in-person weeks, which occur 3-4 weeks per quarter

Responsibilities

  • Within your first 30 days, you will onboard and dive into Grammarly's current People philosophies, practices, and processes
  • By month three, you will assume ownership of the partnership and coaching of the functions you are the People Partner for, including parts of Finance, Legal, and People
  • By month six, you will build our management team and leadershipโ€™s capacity through coaching and influencing
  • By month nine, you will meaningfully contribute to the strategy of the teams you support and to the direction of the People Partner team
  • Beyond your first year, you will foster excellence in the support, motivation, retention, and growth of our talent
