Summary

Join Snowed in Studios, a Keywords Studios' game development studio in Ottawa, as a Senior Producer. Lead internal software and creative teams in game production for a global audience. Manage project risks, create schedules, and forecast production financials. Coach and mentor your team, regularly evaluate priorities and resources, and adapt strategies to changing requirements. Provide internal and external visibility through presentations and reviews. Playtest games and provide feedback. This is a remote position within an hour's commute of the Ottawa/Gatineau studio.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of leadership experience in gaming production, game project management, game publishing or consumer-facing software application development including the experience to develop, plan and execute game projects, from pitch to certification on console, mobile, PC and emergent game platforms
  • 2+ shipped titles on console or PC
  • 6+ years of project management experience, including various development methodologies
  • Experience managing distributed development in multiple geographies
  • Build, track and maintain both simple and complex project schedules, based on current knowledge of all game development disciplines, including management of staffing, financials and writing contracts
  • Experienced with client-facing relationships and communications along with strong mediation and negotiation skills
  • Experience using multiple project management and product management tools: Jira, ADO, Miro, Figma, Mural, Trello, etc

Responsibilities

  • Lead internal software and creative teams to guide the execution and production of games for a global gaming audience
  • Proactively manage and reduce project risks throughout production
  • Create workback and production schedules and keep interested parties updated
  • Forecast and maintain production financials: Budget creation, scheduling and milestone definitions
  • Coach, mentor and grow your team; be a guide through creative and technical challenges. We want to hear how you serve a technical and creative team of developers to reach a common goal, and how you develop the individual potential of every team member
  • Regularly evaluate priorities, staffing and resources, and thoughtfully adjust business strategies to react to changing requirements
  • Provide visibility internally and externally; deliver presentations and reviews with company leadership, internal teams and to clients
  • Playtest the game, be the voice of players, provide and disseminate feedback with different internal teams
