Summary

Join Wunderkind as a Program Manager, acting as a strategic partner to the Product & Engineering Leadership Team. You will oversee program management, ensuring projects run efficiently and effectively from planning to delivery. This high-impact role requires strong technical literacy, exceptional communication skills, and experience managing large-scale programs. You will collaborate with various teams, define goals, track progress, and improve processes. The position also involves proactive budget management, risk mitigation, and internal communication. You will lead special projects and prepare reports for leadership and the board.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in technical program management, operations, or chief of staff–like roles within tech organizations
  • Strong technical literacy; able to translate between engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale programs with multiple stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Experience supporting or partnering with senior leaders (e.g., CTO, VP Eng, Head of Product)
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g. Jira)
  • Scrappy, low-ego, and thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement program management strategies aligned with company goals, overseeing the full project lifecycle from planning through delivery across client-facing and internal initiatives
  • Lead efforts to embed best practices into the software development lifecycle, continuously refining processes, tools, and team operations to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability
  • Partner closely with product and engineering to define goals, ensure cross-functional alignment, and maintain clear, consistent communication with stakeholders and leadership
  • Establish KPIs and reporting mechanisms to track progress and performance, drive continuous improvement, and ensure both internal success and strong client satisfaction
  • Facilitate the end-to-end OKR planning and development process, ensuring Product & Engineering goals are clearly defined, aligned, and tracked across teams
  • Identify, implement, and manage tools and systems that enhance cross-functional communication, visibility, and alignment between Product & Engineering, and Commercial teams
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to the Product & Engineering Leadership Team (SVP of Product, VP of Engineering, & Head of Architecture), helping prioritize and align the org to key goals
  • Proactively manage budgeting, staffing, and scheduling needs while identifying risks early and developing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Drive internal communications and ensure transparency across teams and leadership
  • Lead special projects, from hiring initiatives to operational improvements, on behalf of the leadership team
  • Prepare briefing materials, leadership updates, and board-level content related to product and engineering progress
  • Plan and execute team, department, and leadership offsites—owning logistics, agendas, and outcomes to foster alignment, collaboration, and strategic focus across the organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at a startup or scaling org
  • PMP or other relevant project management certification preferred
