Summary

Join Versapay as a Senior Solution Engineer and play a pivotal role in showcasing the value of our innovative financial technology solutions to prospective customers. You will build trust in our technology, address client challenges, and remove technical barriers during the sales process. This is a unique opportunity to join a leader in the Financial Technology space, specializing in Invoice Presentment, Payments, Accounts Receivable, Collections, and Cash Application. You will engage with customers, design and demonstrate solutions, act as a trusted advisor, support sales cycles, stay ahead of the curve, drive results, and collaborate cross-functionally. The role requires significant travel across the US and Canada. Versapay offers a competitive salary and commission structure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Solution Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar consultative role within a Financial Technology company or related field
  • Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable, Payments, or similar financial processes
  • Experience with enterprise-level selling and working in customer-facing roles
  • Familiarity with one or more mid-market to enterprise level accounting platforms including Oracle NetSuite, Sage Intacct and Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and present confidently to diverse audiences
  • A proven track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams, managing multiple projects, and delivering under tight deadlines
  • Willingness to travel across the US and Canada as required

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers: Conduct detailed discovery sessions to understand customer needs, uncover industry challenges, and identify value-added opportunities for their processes
  • Solution design and demonstration: Build, customize, and showcase innovative solutions using Versapay’s application suite and related partner technologies
  • Be a trusted advisor: Partner with customers and prospects to align their business requirements with Versapay’s technology capabilities, articulating how our solutions solve key pain points
  • Support sales cycles: Provide technical expertise during RFIs/RFPs, propose tailored configurations and integrations, and address objections confidently
  • Stay ahead of the curve: Continuously enhance your knowledge through product, sales, and technical training. Maintain certifications and leverage your expertise to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented sales environment
  • Drive results: Collaborate with management to set and achieve quarterly and annual goals, contributing to overall business success
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with product, sales, and customer success teams to deliver a seamless customer experience
  • Travel: Travel across the US and Canada to engage with clients, deliver presentations, and build strong relationships

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of tools such as JavaScript, REST APIs, HTML5/CSS, and SQL is a plus
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles is desirable

Benefits

  • $130,000 - $160,000 a year (base salary)
  • OTE can range from 160k-200k
  • 80% base/20% commission
