Senior Solutions Engineer

Summary

Join Acquia's Pre-sales team as a Senior Solutions Engineer! Evangelize Acquia's products to potential customers, developing strong technical solutions that meet their business needs. You will develop deep product knowledge, create solution proposals and presentations, gather customer needs, and address competitive threats. This role involves facilitating smooth transitions between sales and delivery and collaborating with peers on technical matters. You'll research, scope, estimate, and present Drupal solutions for enterprise-level websites and applications, acting as a key link between the business development team and engineers/consultants. The position offers flexibility with occasional office visits.

Requirements

• BSc or similar Technical degree with strong preference for Computer Science, IT, Information Services or similar
• 5 years experience in a Solutions Engineer role
• Experience in sales

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep knowledge of Acquia’s products, solutions, and value propositions
• Create solution proposals, presentations, and other customer communications
• Gather customer business needs to tailor the right solution with the Acquia products to help the customer succeed
• Combat competitive threats in accounts and educates the customer on Acquia’s key values and benefits
• Anticipate potential challenges for the proposed project plan and brings those to the customer attention with a resolution
• Facilitate smooth transition from sales to delivery by orienting the appropriate teams to the solution design
• Engage with peers on technical matters and helps educate others on Acquia’s key values and benefits
