Requirements
- Senior Solutions Engineer experience - 4+ years experience in a solutions engineering or architect role working with technical products, particularly with enterprise customers. Alternatively, 6+ years working as an enterprise data leader with a strong desire to engage with prospects
- Customer empathy - Ability to understand customer needs, clearly communicate tradeoffs (written and verbal), influence technical audiences, and translate that into technical solutions. Experience consulting with data and operations teams (marketing, customer success, sales, product, or finance), helping them overcome challenges with their data and pipelines
- Technical background - Experience with data warehousing, analytics engineering, and sales/marketing/revenue operations data. Proficiency in SQL and knowledge of database best practices and troubleshooting
- Self-motivation – Desire to act as a Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) in a startup environment without the structure of big companies. Proven ability to problem-solve your way through issues with the team
- Curiosity – Interest in learning and exploring, experimenting, and teaching others
Responsibilities
- Partner with Customer Account Managers to give customers’ data and operational teams access to deep technical knowledge about Census and the broader data ecosystem
- Teach customers the “art of the possible” with Census, demonstrating use cases and best practices
- Take ownership of the customer’s implementation and challenges. Ensure that all technical issues, questions, and post-sales product concerns are clearly resolved
- Assist with prospect POCs, answering questions and helping prospect be successful with Census
- Collaborate as the technical liaison between Census account management and engineering teams
- Engage with product and engineering teams on the roadmap, sharing customer feedback and advocating for customer feature requests
- Ensure customers successfully implement and use Census
- Codify and share how-to’s in our documentation and internal knowledge base
- Mentor other Solutions Engineers, help onboard new team members, and build the team’s capabilities over time
