Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a regulated industry (medical device, aerospace, semiconductor, and automotive, etc)
  • Highly proficient in assembly and troubleshooting of small-scale mechanisms and mechanical systems
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
  • Familiarity with tools such as microscopes, tweezers, torque drivers, soldering irons, and adhesives
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, documentation tools)
  • Strong attention to detail and quality mindset
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Assemble newly designed components into full device prototypes
  • Handle micro-mechanical components with precision
  • Work closely with engineers to support prototyping, design verification builds, and pilot production
  • Collaborate with engineers to create a robust assembly process and document assembly instructions
  • Assist in developing and refining assembly fixtures, processes, and tools
  • Support equipment calibration and maintenance as needed
  • Ordering and tracking of materials

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with laser welding, soldering/PCBA assembly and troubleshooting
  • Experience with steerable catheter construction and prototyping/development in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with electronics potting processes and endoscope tip assembly
