Senior User Researcher

Summary

Join Ecosia's Design Guild in Berlin as a Senior User Researcher and contribute to creating user-centered experiences focused on climate action. As a key member, you will independently conduct impactful research, collaborate with product teams, and optimize research tools. Your responsibilities include delivering insights, acting as a strategic consultant, building a research repository, creating a research roadmap, and educating stakeholders on findings. This role requires extensive experience in user research, various research methodologies, data analysis, and presentation skills. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a user researcher, ideally with a focus on supporting multiple teams or working in a cross-functional environment
• Proven experience using a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods, as well as building Personas and user journeys
• Experience using a variety of research and data analysis tools and usability testing platforms
• Strong ability to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, creating persuasive narratives, and prioritizing findings in teams’ roadmaps
• Ability to align and prioritize research activities with company goals and strategic priorities in order to maximize impact

Responsibilities

• Deliver impactful insights across all product teams by identifying and executing on user research opportunities, directly supporting Ecosia’s strategic goals
• Act as a strategic consultant to product counterparts by collaborating with product designers and product managers to shape and inform different areas of the product through research-backed recommendations
• Build up our user research repository and optimize its usage (UserTesting, Lyssna, Looker, Airtable are just some of the tools we use)
• Play a crucial role in the creation and maintenance of a user research roadmap, supporting product teams and broader strategic initiatives
• Educate on and evangelize user research findings to grow Ecosia’s user-centricity, ensuring products resonate with our user base
• Work closely with our Data Team and Product leads team to grow the understanding of data insights and balance large scale quantitative experiments with qualitative insight

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building Research repositories (Dovetail, Enjoy HQ, etc)
• Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization tools
• Knowledge of accessibility best practices and experience conducting research in support of inclusive design
• Experience reviewing and sharing insights on isolated interaction patterns etc
