Requirements
- Have 5+ years of UX research experience, ideally in a two-sided marketplace or B2C environment
- Be skilled in both qualitative (interviews, diary studies, card sorting, etc.) and quantitative (surveys, A/B testing, statistical analysis) research methods, with a strong understanding of when and how to apply them effectively across projects of varying scale and complexity
- Be data-savvy and experienced in analyzing large datasets, conducting statistical analysis, and deriving actionable insights that tell a clear story
- Excel at co-creating and co-leading research initiatives, strategically aligning your work to influence product strategy and drive impactful UX design
- Thrive in cross-functional collaboration with product, design, engineering, and business teams, ensuring research aligns with organizational goals and supports collective learning
- Be equally comfortable working independently or within a team, managing multiple projects while maintaining strong communication with stakeholders and team members
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly and influence stakeholders to make informed, user-centered decisions
- Be passionate about understanding user needs and aligning research with business goals to create meaningful impact
- Take initiative, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and solve problems creatively to meet evolving business and user needs
Responsibilities
- Focus on deeply understanding user needs, behaviors, and motivations across different user groups to guide product and design decisions
- Co-lead research projects, utilizing a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods to explore both user behaviors and attitudes, as well as product observations
- Conduct research that spans qualitative feedback, usability testing, and data analysis to continuously improve the user experience
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure research aligns with business objectives and customer needs
- Advocate for users by synthesizing research findings into actionable insights, ensuring they are directly relevant to product initiatives
- Partner with teams across product, engineering, marketing, and design to align research with organizational goals and integrate insights throughout the product lifecycle
- Apply research best practices to ensure high-quality, rigorous work, and guide UX designers on running self-service research when appropriate
- Work with UX Metrics to track product changes over time, measuring the impact of product releases on user behavior, and providing data-backed insights combined with qualitative understanding to inform design and product decisions
