Servicing Associate

Summary

Join Backflip, a fast-growing FinTech company revolutionizing the real estate investing industry. As a Servicing Associate, you will manage a servicing pipeline, handle delinquency and loan extension requests, communicate with borrowers, and support the capital markets team. This is a remote position (U.S.) in a well-capitalized startup with a great culture.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a relevant servicing operation for a lender in the real estate industry
• Experience reviewing residential construction budgets, feasibility and inspection reports
• Prior experience working a remote team
• Ability to multi-task with exceptional time management, prioritization and attention to detail
• Exemplary computer skills - demonstrated ability and desire to learn new technologies (we use Slack + Notion + Google Workspace + Front + HubSpot + GLS + FCI + Willow + more)

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage your servicing pipeline to ensure each Member feels valued, empowered, and is set up for success
• Manage the delinquency pipeline, providing support to borrowers to facilitate successful loan resolution and exit strategies
• Process loan payoff requests with a high level of accuracy and within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Process loan extension requests with a high level of accuracy and within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Communicate proactively with borrowers to get ahead of issues and protect Backflip’s loan performance track record
• Effectively handle borrower escalations, as applicable
• Provide each borrower with a welcome call upon their loan closing
• Uphold communication SLA’s; ensure borrowers receive timely responses
• Work with the broader team to develop opportunities to engage members with Community and Product

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with a fintech company or venture-backed startup is a plus
