Summary
Join Nava Benefits as a dynamic Small Group Team Manager overseeing a multi-million-dollar book of business on the West Coast team. Lead and mentor a high-performing team of Client Success professionals managing small employer group accounts. You will leverage your strategic thinking and deep expertise in the California small group market to deliver innovative benefit solutions. This role involves strategic planning for growth and hiring, ensuring team success. The position is remote, preferably based in California, requiring 10+ years of experience in benefits consulting. You will be responsible for strategic oversight, team development, operational excellence, strategic planning, data-driven insights, and internal advocacy.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in benefits consulting or a related field, with a strong background
- Deep knowledge of the market, carriers, products, and technical solutions related to medical and Rx funding strategies
- Proven ability to manage a team of client success professionals and lead complex client engagements
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining executive-level relationships as a trusted advisor
- Exceptional ability to effectively present to executive-level client audiences, delegate and guide direct reports, and articulate needs, process improvements, and strategic insights to internal leadership
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive oversight of the small group client portfolio, ensuring seamless delivery of services, and driving client retention and satisfaction through innovative benefit strategies tailored to the California small group market
- Inspire, coach, and mentor a high-performing team of Client Managers and Benefits Analysts, fostering an environment of collaboration, professional growth, and accountability to exceed client expectations
- Develop and implement efficient processes, tools, and workflows to elevate team performance and enhance client service delivery in alignment with Navaβs mission and goals
- Guide the team in designing and executing annual service plans, renewal strategies, and long-term client growth plans, leveraging deep market expertise to provide best-in-class solutions
- Utilize data analytics to monitor book performance, identify trends, and inform strategic decisions that enhance team and client outcomes
- Serve as a key liaison to Navaβs executive leadership, effectively communicating team needs, proposing process improvements, and aligning on strategic priorities to drive overall organizational success
Preferred Qualifications
- Based in the California area
- Current experience owning CA Small (50-100 EE's) employer groups
