Summary

Join ExtraHop, a leader in network detection and response (NDR) technology, as our Social Media and Content Specialist! Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications, you will be responsible for managing ExtraHop's organic social media presence, developing content strategies, and collaborating with an external agency. You will create engaging short-form content, monitor social media interactions, and analyze performance metrics. This role requires strong writing skills, experience with social media management platforms, and a deep understanding of the cybersecurity landscape. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in B2B social media and content creation, preferably within the cybersecurity industry. Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in social media and content creation in B2B environment; cybersecurity background preferred
  • Experience working with creative tools and social media management platforms (e.g., Sprout Social)
  • Experience working with CMS platforms (e.g., Sanity or similar platform)
  • Experience managing employee social media advocacy programs and campaigns
  • Experience working with analytics tools (e.g., LinkedIn Analytics, Google Analytics)
  • Strong writing skills across various formats
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Understanding of the cybersecurity competitive landscape

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive social media calendar that is consistent with ExtraHop’s corporate objectives
  • Work with the outside agency to create and share daily social media content, including post drafting and graphics
  • Lead strategy around employee advocacy/engagement across social media
  • Monitor social media interactions and respond to comments professionally and promptly; Build and foster meaningful interactions with audiences on social platforms to enhance engagement and community building
  • Conduct competitive research and report on analytics/metrics on a regular basis to evaluate the company’s social media performance and optimize strategy
  • Create, edit, and publish compelling short-form content, including, but not limited to, blogs, website landing pages, etc
  • Proactively suggest content that aligns to corporate strategy
  • Provide proofreading and editing as needed on communications and marketing projects
  • Ensure alignment with brand guidelines and consistency in tone and messaging
  • Work with cross-functional teams to adapt technical content into engaging and shareable assets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field
  • Experience in an agency setting
