Summary

The job is for a Software Engineer, Backend at Pagos who will design, build, and maintain the data platform and Machine Learning products. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of software development experience, a degree in Computer Science, strong expertise in Python, Flask, Airflow, SQL, and columnar analytical databases.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience with a proven track record of developing and scaling high-availability systems
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Strong expertise in Python, Flask, Airflow, and SQL
• Experience with columnar analytical databases, for example, Redshift, Snowflake, Clickhouse, Apache Druid or others

Responsibilities

• Craft high quality code for scale, availability, and performance
• Collaborate with Engineers and Data Scientist to build high-performing, customer focused solutions
• Drive engineering projects to from end to end with a high level of ownership
• Ensure the quality of our product through code reviews, testing, and bug fixing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with managing infrastructure, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, Terraform Cloud
• Experience with node.js/typescript
• Comfort with cloud technologies such as AWS
• Experience working in high growth venture-backed startup(s)
• Prior experience with fintech, trading, transaction or payments data for optimization, fraud, recommendation, routing or tracking
