Summary

Column is hiring a remote Software Engineer III to lead technical projects, contribute to the engineering culture, and work on a collaborative public notice platform. The ideal candidate should have experience as a web app full stack generalist, be able to shape and expedite projects, and possess strong problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Experience as a web app full stack generalist
• Thoughtfulness about performance, accessibility, codebase patterns, and high quality web apps
• Experience leading squads/teams of engineers
• 2+ years of writing production React code as a SWE at a company with less than 100 software engineers
• Opinionated about NoSQL data model patterns, Node/TypeScript standards, and testing strategies
• Passionate about expanding areas of expertise, learning new ways to do things, and understanding why things are the way they are
• Resourceful and creative when executing solutions
• Enjoy mentorship (incl. providing regular feedback, code reviewing, and career advice)
• Strong desire to exemplify Column's operating principles

Responsibilities
