Summary

FastSpring is seeking a Software Engineer III to optimize revenue, minimize fraud, and build data-driven risk solutions for their rapidly growing ecommerce platform. The role requires 3-5 years of experience as a Lead Engineer or key technical contributor in a fast-growing Fintech, preferably with international payments. Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a Lead Engineer, or key technical contributor in a fast-growing Fintech, preferably with international payments
• Deep expertise in back-end programming (Java preferred)
• Understanding Payments and Risk as a complete domain
• Independent deductive ability from data
• Ability to treat most external technology as ‘black box services with iron clad contract’

Responsibilities

• Design an empirical system to best optimize for sellers’ revenue in every cell of the Customers, Payment Methods, and Geography cube
• Build a customer-facing solution that minimizes fraud using industry best practices
• Understand and discover the nuances between Payment Methods and customer purchase behavior in different geographies
• Own end-to-end actionable observability in Payments and Risk domain, and proactively add or tweak it as we execute our Product Strategy
• Collaborate and influence internally to balance your sense of urgency
