Summary

Join insightsoftware as a Solutions Engineer and play a key role in showcasing our budget consolidation solutions. Reporting to the Director of Solutions Engineering, you will be responsible for product demonstrations, pre-sales support, and partner enablement. This remote position requires strong technical expertise, client engagement skills, and the ability to translate complex technical information to diverse audiences. You will collaborate with sales and post-sales teams, design custom solutions, and contribute to proposal development. The ideal candidate possesses a consulting mindset and experience mapping customer requirements to software solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years in a sales engineering, presales, solutions consulting or solutions engineering role, preferably within the EPM, ERP, or financial software industry
  • Proficiency in EPM and/or ERP platforms and a solid understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing client challenges

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of our solutions, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify client needs and tailor presentations that demonstrate how our solutions can meet those requirements
  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations, highlighting the value and capabilities of our offerings to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Work closely with prospects to design custom solutions that align with their business processes and objectives
  • Assist in crafting detailed proposals and responses to RFPs, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with prospect needs
  • Gather insights from prospect interactions to inform product development and enhance our solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a software platform/product in a customer-facing B2B environment
  • Experience with SAP and/or Oracle platforms
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
