Solution Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field
• Proven experience managing complex IT projects, especially within open-source environments
• High proficiency in English and German; knowledge of French is a plus
• Familiarity with OpenProject and its technological stack (Ruby/Rails, Angular)
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of translating technical details for diverse audiences
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to create demos and other materials to support solution implementation

Responsibilities

• Foster and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients
• Serve as the primary technical consultant, understanding and addressing customer requirements
• Create and implement tailored technical solutions that align with client needs and our product vision
• Regularly engage with clients to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction
• Work closely with the product owner, UX/UI, and development teams to prioritize and develop solutions in alignment with the overall OpenProject roadmap
• Answer technical questions from existing and potential customers, providing expert advice and guidance
• Maximize retention and Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) from corporate clients
• Ensure custom development aligns with the overall product vision
• Foster strong, long-term partnerships with key clients
