Develop and secure a pipeline of new opportunities, establishing strong value-based relationships with clients. This strategic commercial role involves managing the end-to-end sales process, attracting and onboarding new clients, and driving demand generation. Success requires a consultative sales approach with C-level executives, positioning Thoughtworks as a true business partner. Leverage market research and available tools to develop compelling pitches and proposals. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of agile and digital capabilities and thrives in a high-autonomy environment.

Requirements

  • You have a relevant and current knowledge of the Spanish market situation and are technically astute in the latest trends and practices to influence strategic decisions
  • You have 10+ years of relevant experience defining and executing new business growth strategies and pipelines for premium, not commoditized, services at executive level
  • You have a proven record of success driving complex sales through a disciplined process, generating deals in excess of 3-10mil (Euro) of new business per annum
  • You are well versed in agile and lean practices and programmes, and are able to demonstrate understanding of how these software development delivery projects are executed
  • You have a native-level command of Spanish and are fluent in English (our internal working language)
  • You're able to balance strategy and execution, while crafting visions and taking a progressive stance on agendas that drive change
  • Hunger and desire to exceed target goals
  • You have a strong ability to negotiate and persuade C-level stakeholders at the business and technology level
  • You are a natural consultant, you're solutions-oriented and influence decisions by bringing in relevant industry trends and client stories
  • You are flexible and open to city and regional travel to meet teams and clients (30%)
  • You are primarily based in Madrid

Responsibilities

  • Develop a pursuit plan and a pipeline of new clients and client engagements
  • Successfully convert new target accounts, creating the foundation for long-term, value-based relationships. Success is nurturing and the sale of win-win value propositions and nurturing executive relationships for continuing business
  • Approach client executives as true business partners versus software delivery partners, expanding Thoughtworks engagement to encompass the breadth and depth of our capabilities, including where appropriate, our world-leading Global Delivery centers in Eastern Europe, Latin America and Asia
  • Recognize that our people and our clients are at the center of everything we do
  • Leverage your own and TW-provided market research to identify, build a business case for and present your pursuit targets
  • Leverage available tools, events and marketing support to develop pitches, proposals, presentations, etc for target accounts

Preferred Qualifications

It is a plus if you can bring in a broad network of financial services industry contacts to improve and strengthen Thoughtworksโ€™ presence in the market
