Solutions Engineer in Worldwide

Summary

Datafold is seeking a Solutions Engineer to lead the technical side of their pre- and post-sales process. The candidate will work directly with customers to understand their data quality and productivity challenges and design solutions using the Datafold platform. They will also collaborate with Account Executives on new business opportunities, identify product improvement opportunities, and provide thought leadership to customers and the broader Data community.

Requirements

• 2 - 5 years of Solution Engineering experience in the data space
• Strong data engineering background
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT patterns, data warehousing and orchestration (e.g. Airflow, dbt). Strong knowledge and foundation in dbt is a must have
• Advanced knowledge of SQL; working knowledge of Python
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to handle and effectively resolve conflict and manage customer accounts
• Excellent listening skills, empathy, and ability to connect with people of various backgrounds, technical abilities, and cultures

Responsibilities

• Work with customers and prospects evaluating Datafold as part of the deployment process
• Partner with Account Executive on new business and upsell opportunities
• Identify potential blockers for customers in adopting Datafold and overcome them through building solutions, creating GTM assets, educating the users, and collaborating with the team
• Provide thought leadership to customers, the team, and the broader Data community on the best ways for doing high-quality data engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience with infrastructure and DevOps (AWS, GCP, CI/CD)
• Have advanced knowledge or have worked on database migrations
