Summary
Join BeyondTrust as the Director of Product Marketing, Public Sector, to lead and scale go-to-market efforts in federal, state, local, and education sectors. You will collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to develop a growth-focused strategy, lead a high-performing team, and create compelling content showcasing BeyondTrust's cybersecurity solutions. As a key leader, you will leverage your deep understanding of public sector challenges to demonstrate how BeyondTrust uniquely solves them. You will define KPIs, ensure accountability, and drive alignment across stakeholders to accelerate adoption and influence. This role requires strategic leadership and hands-on execution, including mentoring a team, developing content, and executing marketing campaigns tailored to public sector needs. You will also be responsible for measuring and analyzing performance data to optimize strategies and drive accountability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity product or solutions marketing for SaaS-based or software businesses, preferably focused on the public sector market
- Proven experience in leading and developing teams, with strong people management and mentoring skills
- Strong understanding of how to map cybersecurity solutions to Public Sector procedures, memos, EOs, and regulations
- Strong understanding of how to map security solutions to the MITRE ATT&CK, CIS, and NIST frameworks
- Expertise in FedRAMP/STATERAMP and other Government ATOs/APLs and certifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven background in building a program from the ground up
- An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong understanding of the quantitative results from quarter-to-quarter, and be able to report on the key analytics details
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a growing team of public sector-focused marketers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
- Provide regular coaching and professional development to team members, emphasizing results-driven execution and cross-functional partnership
- Serve as a player-coach—capable of driving strategic planning while rolling up your sleeves to execute critical initiatives
- Develop and successfully implement a robust content strategy; craft and communicate compelling content (white papers, case studies, blog posts, infographics, and more) that resonates with federal audiences and highlights the value and impact of our solutions
- Work closely and build trust with key partners, including government contractors, system integrators, and resellers, at all leadership levels, to develop joint marketing strategies and collateral that enhance product visibility and reach within the federal market
- Develop and drive clear and compelling messaging and positioning that differentiates our cybersecurity solutions in the public sector markets
- Translate complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling business value propositions for government audiences
- Representing the team, work closely with product management, sales, subject matter experts, and other internal teams to gather insights, influence messaging, and ensure content aligns with broader company sales play positioning
- Build and execute integrated campaigns, product launches, and partner co-marketing strategies tailored to public sector personas and procurement cycles
- Train internal sales teams and enable key partners on key messaging and positioning to ensure alignment and effectiveness in communications
- Drive the creation of high-impact assets—white papers, case studies, web content, infographics, and event presentations—that align with customer needs and buying stages
- Maintain editorial oversight and ensure all content meets brand, regulatory, and messaging standards
- Align with marketing and sales leadership to create clearly defined metrics for success
- Continuously analyze performance data to optimize strategies and drive accountability across the team
Preferred Qualifications
- The preferred location for this position is the greater Washington, D.C. metro area
- Qualified candidates outside the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area on the US East Coast will be considered
