Southeast Asia Lead

Summary

Join Monad Labs, a team building the high-performance Monad blockchain, as the Southeast Asia (SEA) Lead for their Ecosystem team. You will spearhead initiatives to expand Monad's presence in SEA, focusing on community building and developer growth across various stages and verticals. This role involves developing and executing programs like bootcamps and hackathons, fostering collaboration within the ecosystem, and building relationships with external stakeholders. You'll leverage data-driven insights and strong communication skills to achieve Monad's ambitious goals in the SEA region. The position requires significant experience in Web3 and fluency in English and at least one prominent SEA language. Requirements

• 5 years of relevant professional experience, with 2 years in a similar role in Web3 ideally at an L1/L2 blockchain
• Fluent in English and at least 1 prominent language in SEA (e.g. Thai, Vietnamese, Bahasa Malay/Indonesia)
• Based in Southeast Asia with a strong industry network in SEA
• Demonstrated track record of end-to-end ownership of large scale projects
• An excellent written and verbal communicator with a track record to show
• No-ego, resourceful, detail-oriented, and biased toward action with reverence to team priorities
• Adept at managing relationships and expectations across many stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and execute new and existing initiatives that grow the Monad builder community, such as founder bootcamps, demo days and hackathons
• Encourage builders to deepen ties within the Monad ecosystem and community, including composability with other Monad ecosystem apps
• Create pathways for interested parties to learn and engage with the Monad ecosystem
• Collaborate with a range of external counterparties–including builders, investors, exchanges, and infra providers—to promote the growth of the Monad ecosystem
• Work alongside cross-functional teams internally including Business Development, DevRel, Marketing, and Operations
• Be a leading member of the SEA builder community, online and irl, to help crypto grow in SEA

Preferred Qualifications

• Existing familiarity with and enthusiasm for the Monad ecosystem
• Experience working at an early-stage startup
• Fluency in multiple languages
