Summary

Join BombBomb as a Staff Accountant and support the Controller and CFO in providing precise and timely financial data for strategic decision-making. You will play a key role in managing core accounting functions, including accounts payable, payroll, and cash disbursements. This position requires in-depth analysis of vendor expenses and general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate reconciliations of key accounts. You will also assist with accounts receivable and contribute to the integrity and efficiency of finance operations. The role offers the opportunity to build cross-functional insight into the company’s financial health. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 2-5 years experience in an Accounting Department, specifically performing AP and Payroll functions or 1-2 years in public accounting
  • Immaculate attention to detail
  • Skilled working with various financial software systems, preferably Netsuite, Stripe, Chargebee, and ADP
  • Advanced abilities in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Solid understanding of GAAP
  • High degree of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism
  • Great communication skills - both oral and written
  • Strong time management skills
  • Highly inquisitive about how using AI within your job can increase productivity

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and set up new vendors
  • Process vendor invoices and schedule for payment (via check and ACH)
  • Process employee expense reports
  • Review and process corporate credit card transactions
  • Ensure accounting transactions are posted accurately according to GAAP
  • Enter check and ACH deposits into NetSuite
  • Reconcile Merchant deposits and post in NetSuite
  • Research and reconcile credit card chargebacks
  • Enter auto-debits into NetSuite
  • Process semi-monthly payroll for approval
  • Process monthly commission for approval
  • Ensure accurate payroll processing and posting to GL
  • Work with Talent Management to resolve payroll questions and issues
  • Ensure that post payroll tax and vendor payments are timely and accurate
  • Prepare monthly journal entries
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly sales and use tax filings
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
  • Reconcile general ledger liability accounts
  • Assist in preparation of the financial reports and other month end duties
  • Review annual employee W2s
  • Prepare annual 1099s
  • Prepare schedules and provide documentation for the annual audit and tax return
  • Develop and monitor control procedures for accounting department
  • Increase productivity of the department by developing and implementing efficient and automated procedures and utilizing AI wherever possible
  • Assist with AR, revenue and deferred revenue- collection calls, reconciliations and reporting
