Summary
Join DroneDeploy's dynamic finance team as a Staff Accountant and contribute to the success of our growing organization. This role focuses on enhancing AP/Expense and GL accounting processes, optimizing cash flow, and ensuring timely transaction recording. You will review and process vendor invoices, assist with expense reports and reimbursements, and perform reconciliations. The position also involves ad-hoc projects supporting the finance team's objectives. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role requires strong accounting principles understanding, excellent communication, and proficiency in accounting software. Requirements
- Recent college graduate or 1 year experience in Accounts Payable
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interactions
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications/GSuite
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Responsibilities
- AP: Under the supervision of the Accounting Manager the candidate will be responsible for reviewing, coding, and processing vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and proper authorization. This will require researching and resolving invoice discrepancies and exceptions, and entering invoice data into our accounting system with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Employee Expense Reporting: Candidate will be assisting with expense report processing and employee reimbursements, helping maintain internal controls and ensuring compliance with company policies
- Reconciliation: Record keeping and reconciliation duties that encompass maintaining organized filing systems for invoices and supporting documentation, assisting with month-end closing activities. Specifically bank reconciliations as well as balance sheet account reconciliations. Additionally supporting annual audit processes by providing requested documentation and maintaining proper records
- Ad Hoc Projects: Assist in various finance-related projects as they arise, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the finance team. Provide support for financial reporting and analysis as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using NetSuite is a plus
- Experience with AP Software (Bill, Airbase, etc.) a plus
