Summary
Join Chainguard as a Staff Product Manager to lead the development and improvement of our secure supply chain ecosystem. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and manage the product roadmap, aligning priorities with key stakeholders. Develop business cases for new products and features, launch new offerings, and evaluate their performance. You will work with engineering to define elegant product solutions and leverage your understanding of customer needs and the software supply chain security space. This role requires technical experience, knowledge of software packaging and distribution, and proven success in product launches. Requirements
- Technical experience is a must. Either prior experience as a developer, or proven success working with senior technical teams
- Knowledge of packaging and distribution of language ecosystem libraries (Java, Python, Javascript, Rust, etc.)
- Prior experience launching 0 to 1 products and autonomously managing all aspects of major launches with demonstrated good judgement around risk management, scope, and tradeoffs
- Ability to navigate complex decision-making and effectively communicate across teams
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with cross-functional teams and leaders
- Ability to define clear requirements, write high-level documents, prepare and present material company-wide, and sell an executive team on initiatives
- Excellent written and verbal communication and proven track record with deep customer engagements, hands-on execution and timely delivery
- Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Develop and propose business cases for new products or features based on a strong understanding of the software supply chain security space, current market needs and competitive offerings
- Create written documents that clearly define the problem, proposed and recommended solutions, quantitative and qualitative success measures & targets, cross-functional requirements, and ROI to the business
- Launch new products and features that solve customer problems, evaluate their performance, and iterate quickly
- Work collaboratively with Engineering, Marketing, UX, and other cross-functional teams on cutting edge technologies
- Develop innovative solutions to problems by collaborating as needed across regions, product areas, and functions
- Drive the strategy, roadmap and planning cycles
- Drive execution against the roadmap
