Summary

Join Demandbase as a Technical Program Manager (TPM) and partner with engineers and senior leadership to drive engineering execution, manage priorities, and improve processes. You will be responsible for stakeholder management, operational excellence, and ascertaining true requirements for feature requests. This role requires a degree in Computer Science, 6-7 years of experience as a TPM, and expertise in agile methodologies and project management tools. Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science
  • 6-7 years of experience working directly with engineering teams as a TPM
  • Experience driving roadmap strategy, definition, and capacity planning
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules
  • Expert level proficiency with agile &/or other program/project management methodologies
  • Adept at building processes, project management, and release schedules
  • Admin level expertise with Agile/Project/Program Management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Google Suite of Products, Smartsheet, etc
  • Expertise working on large and deeply transformative projects
  • Proven experience of delivering large-scale cross-functional initiatives end-to-end
  • Excellent communication skills – experience in writing and presenting comprehensive narratives on opportunities, plans, and results to senior management and stakeholders
  • High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
  • High judgment, superior negotiating skills, and exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including facilitation and coaching, and the ability to lead and influence others
  • Resourceful in an ambiguous environment
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new technologies
  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Drive crisp and timely prioritization based on customer impact and business opportunity
  • Manage diverse requests and dependencies
  • Define, implement, and continuously improve processes that improve delivery and operational efficiency
  • Interface with and influence your stakeholders, balancing business needs vs. technical constraints and driving clarity in ambiguous situations
  • Monitor metrics and program health, anticipate and clear blockers, and manage escalations
  • Ascertain the true requirements underlying feature requests; recommend alternative technical approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience having led/been part of an Agile transformation
  • Passion for building technology that delivers outstanding customer experiences
  • Product development experience (including Scala, Java, C++, JavaScript, messaging protocols, and Web Services)
  • Deep understanding of core web technologies
  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies (AWS, GCP)
