Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Related field
- 5-7+ years of related direct sales experience
- Understanding of storage product portfolio and roadmap; identify fit and alignment with customer(s)
- Understand market conditions and how they affect WD and the customer
- Understand the customer legal contracts and terms in place
Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally between Technical Support, Field Application Engineering, Sales Operations, Pricing, Legal, and Product Marketing organizations to exceed customers’ expectation
- Must be able to establish credibility across all levels/roles of a customer; technical, business, quality, executive. Need to be seen as a valuable team member that can get things done; building trust through execution
- Leverage a strong understanding our customers’ priorities relative to our company goals; our product portfolio and market trends/insight
- Must be able to manage confidential information
- Manage and grow the relationship with strategic accounts - including contract manufacturers, distributors, and end customer
- Drive long and short-term customer revenue and shipment goals
- Carefully and strategically manage internal and external communication, striving for consistency and alignment to the customer and company goals
- Work with a high sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize activity and customer demands; being available, responsive, and timely to customer inquiries, requests for information, problem resolution, etc - even if after normal business hours
- Negotiate customer pricing, balancing customer and company goals
- Manage the product lifecycle by account: product portfolio and roadmap, product launch, qualifications and end of life
- Coordinate technology and business meetings on weekly, quarterly and annual schedules
- Manage meeting preparation, including pre-meeting documentation and meeting strategy: goals, participant roles, alignment
- Customer relationship mapping and engagement strategy
