Summary

Join AnaVation's growing team as a System Administrator (SME) and make a daily difference! This role requires expertise in systems infrastructure support within federal government environments, utilizing Agile processes (SAFe). You will diagnose and resolve complex system issues, contribute to new system architecture design and implementation, and monitor system performance. The position is primarily remote, with potential occasional travel to Clarksburg, WV (uncompensated). An active Top Secret clearance is mandatory; a polygraph and SCI access may be required. Requirements

  • Have 5 years (minimum) of experience
  • Have five years of experience with enterprise network administration tools
  • Possess extensive understanding of specific operating systems, hardware, network protocols, security measures, and cloud technologies relevant to their organization
  • Have expert knowledge of Linux operating systems, including system configuration, shell scripting, and package management
  • Have advanced expertise in managing Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and related technologies
  • Have a deep understanding of AWS and Azure cloud platforms, including cloud security and resource management
  • Have expertise in network infrastructure, routing protocols, firewalls, and network security
  • Have experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum, XP, Kanban, and SAFe
  • Have an active Top Secret clearance
  • Be able to successfully pass a polygraph and obtain SCI accesses (if requested by the customer)

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve complex system issues that may require in-depth analysis and creative solutions
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of new system architectures, including server configurations, network topology, and data storage solutions
  • Monitor system performance metrics and identify bottlenecks to optimize system efficiency and uptime
  • Implement robust security measures, manage user access controls, and stay updated on emerging cyber threats
  • Forecast future system needs and plan for hardware upgrades or infrastructure scaling to accommodate growth
  • Provide technical guidance and training to other system administrators on best practices and new technologies
