Summary
Join IntelliDyne, LLC as a Systems Administrator and contribute to the delivery of quality, mission-aligned services and innovative IT solutions for government organizations. This remote position requires installing, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft Windows servers in a complex environment. You will manage servers and upgrades, handle data collection and reporting, and implement complex hardware deployments and software upgrades. Troubleshooting server problems, maintaining automated scripts, and monitoring system capacity are key responsibilities. You will also plan and deploy new servers and devices, assist in disaster recovery planning, and ensure compliance with data management regulations. The role involves collaboration with vendors and team members, including security auditors.
Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in computer engineering or a related area
- Three (3) to five (5) yearsโ experience in maintaining and supporting a Microsoft environment
- Must have active/valid Sec+CE (or higher IAT level certification)
- Computing Environment (CE) Certification such as Microsoft Certification (MCSE) or equivalent or SQL 2016/2019
- Skilled in Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and more recent
- Demonstrated knowledge with Windows Servers, Server Operations, Server applications, etc
- Demonstrated knowledge with both physical and virtualized servers, especially VMware
- Microsoft Certification (MCSE) or equivalent certification in relevant programs
- Strong record of completed projects across various computing platforms
- Functional knowledge of network topologies
- Demonstrated knowledge with TCP/IP, DNS, 802.1x, and DHCP protocols
- Skilled in Server hardware troubleshooting and configuration
- Familiar with DoD STIGs
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, update, and maintain Microsoft (MS) Windows servers in a complex environment
- Managing servers and upgrades. Manage GPOs and Active Directory structure. Handle data collection and reporting
- Implement complex hardware deployments, software upgrades, and significant operational initiatives
- Work with vendors to isolate and resolve hardware problems to include component replacement
- Addresses and rectifies server problems, works with Microsoft or other vendors as necessary
- Maintain and upgrade automated scripts for application products to facilitate operational tasks
- Monitor system capacity (CPU, memory, ports, disk space, etc.) and take appropriate action to report and correct any issues
- Plan, deploy, and document new servers, printers, devices, and services
- Assist in planning and deployment of disaster recovery procedures
- Ensure that external and internal regulations and policies governing data management are met, including regulations concerning security, audit readiness, and privacy
- Organize and prioritize IT related activities
- Understanding of setup/use/troubleshooting of software deployment and support of Maintenance Windows
- Work with team and security auditors for regular ATOs and CRRIs
- Install rack-mounted IT equipment, power, and network cabling
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and 2019 in a clustered environment
- Demonstrated competencies with Networked Attached Storage
- Commitment to continual development of technical skillsets and knowledge sharing
- Experience and knowledge of Cisco, network devices, firewalls and routers, etc
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Must be able to respond to system outages during off-hours
