Summary

Wilder World Inc. is seeking a Technical Art Director to lead its art team in creating high-quality visual aesthetics for its decentralized NFT marketplace game. The candidate should have at least 5 years of experience, including 2 years in a leadership role, and expertise in 3D modeling, texturing, shading, lighting, rigging, and various software like Zbrush, Maya, Unreal Engine, Blender, Cinema 4D, Substance painter. The position offers the opportunity to work remotely and be part of a high-performing team.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in game development, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Expert knowledge in 3D modeling, texturing, shading, lighting, and rigging
• Experience with Zbrush, Maya, Unreal Engine, Blender, Cinema 4D, Substance painter
• Understanding of Web3
• Experience in the game development process, including working knowledge of game engines such as Unity or Unreal
• Knowledgeable in optimization techniques to ensure high-quality graphics performance
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven, collaborative environment
• Experience managing teams of artists
• Outstanding written and verbal communication
• Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the art team, ensuring the game's visual aesthetic is consistently delivered at a high standard
• Work collaboratively with the game design team to provide technical guidance on new art features
• Manage the development process of 3D assets, including concept art, modeling, texturing, and rigging, as well as their integration into the game engine
• Develop and implement innovative solutions to improve the game's overall visual quality and performance
• Create technical documentation that outlines the art team's processes and workflows
• Keep up-to-date with the latest tools, software, and techniques related to art production and share your knowledge with the team
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable feedback to help each team member improve
