Technical Lead, IT Infrastructure

Summary

The job is for a Tech Lead position at The Weather Network. The role involves leading the design, implementation, and support of Pelmorex IT Infrastructure to standardize, modernize, and automate infrastructure management. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years of experience in a 24/7 IT environment, and expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, cloud computing, and DevOps culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as information technology, computer science, or management information systems
• 5+ Years of experience in working in a 24/7 IT environment
• Minimum of 3 years of direct experience with Docker, Kubernetes cluster design, implementation, and management on the following infrastructures (OpenStack, VMware, Procmox, AWS, GCP, AZURE)
• Excellent knowledge in cloud computing (GCP, AWS, Azure, OpenStack, AI)
• Excellent knowledge of managing k8 infrastructure
• Experience in Complex IT Environments (Network, System, and Storage )
• Excellent technical skills (Linux & Windows, Scripting, terraform)
• Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)
• Excellent Problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with systems monitoring, log aggregation, and dashboard solutions (e.g., ELK, Splunk, Prometheus)
• Experience with promoting a DevOps culture and introducing it to new teams

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of Pelmorex infrastructure core systems (k8, VMs, Clusters, CICD, Clouds environment) including Network security, automation, and monitoring
• Provide technical advice or technical leadership where required to support various IT-related projects
